With a love for beauty and finely crafted excellence, Sheryl Kimbrough has been creating timeless designs for homes and businesses in Athens, Georgia, and Amelia Island, Florida, for over 30 years.
After graduating from Auburn University with a Fine Arts degree and teaching in Athens until her husband earned his law degree, Sheryl had the opportunity to live in New York and enroll in the New York School of Interior Design. After graduation, she and her husband moved back to Athens. Since 1976, they have split their time between Athens and Amelia.
After years of designing experience, Sheryl has developed a unique design ethic that reflects her passion for interior design and personal sense of style. She describes her style as traditional elegance with a touch of contemporary flair prevalent in the design market today, always maintaining comfort as the most important element.
Contemporary design comes in and goes out, but traditional design is timeless. There is a trend today towards neutral, soft colors, with an addition of a punch with fabrics, art and accessories. With new homes’ open floor plans, it is important that the interior design flows throughout the home, using color accents to make each room distinct.
